Comprehensive Installation Support

Complete Installation Support Package

Every RAX door ships with a complete installation documentation package for the installation team – English manuals, wiring diagrams, FAI photos and a step-by-step commissioning checklist. Remote video-call guidance from our engineers is included with every order.

Documentation Package

What’s in the Box

Six deliverables ship with every order – printed and digital. The installation team receives the same documentation RAX factory technicians use during the 100,000-cycle fatigue test.

English Installation Manual

Step-by-step assembly instructions with annotated photos at every stage. Written for professional installation and maintenance teams. Covers mechanical assembly, hardware torque specs and safety device mounting.

technical drawings

2D layout drawings showing exact mounting positions, anchor points and clearance dimensions. 3D assembly views illustrate component orientation and sequence. PDF formats included for the site engineer.

Wiring Diagrams

Complete electrical schematics for the motor, control box, safety photocells, edge sensors and any optional devices (radar, loop detector, interlock). Color-coded wire labels match the physical harness in the crate.

Pre-Assembly Report

First Article Inspection photos taken during factory testing. Every component fit is documented before the crate is opened – track joints, panel alignment, motor mounting and limit switch positions documented frame by frame.

Bolt Schedule & Hardware List

Every fastener, bracket, anchor and seal is itemized with size, quantity and installation position. No missing-hardware surprises on site. If anything is short, reference the list and we ship replacements via DHL/FedEx within 5-7 days.

Commissioning Checklist

Final test procedure covering 100 operational cycles, safety reversal verification, limit switch calibration, emergency release function and seal inspection. Once signed off, the installation record is archived at RAX for 5 years.

From Factory Floor to Site

Installation Support Process

Five structured steps from production completion to a fully commissioned door. RAX engineers are reachable at every stage through remote support channels.

1

Receive Documentation Package

Within 3 days of production completion, the full documentation set ships by email: manual, wiring diagrams, FAI photos, bolt schedule and commissioning checklist. Hard copies travel in the crate.

2

Site Preparation Review

A RAX engineer reviews the opening dimensions, lintel depth, side room and headroom via video call before the door arrives. Anchor positions are confirmed and any site adjustments are flagged early – before the crate is opened.

3

Guided Assembly

The installation team follows the manual step by step. WhatsApp or video-call support is available in real time during the build. Photos of any stage can be sent for engineer confirmation before proceeding to the next step.

4

Electrical Connection

The motor, control box and safety devices are wired using the color-coded wiring diagrams. If a connection is unclear, a screen or camera feed can be shared – a RAX engineer walks through the schematic with the installation team live and troubleshoots on the spot.

5

Commissioning & Handover

The 100-cycle test is run, safety reversal is verified, limits are calibrated and the commissioning checklist is signed off. The completed record is archived at RAX for 5 years alongside the tooling and engineering files for future reference.

Product-Specific Guidance

Installation Considerations by Door Type

Each door type has unique critical steps. The installation manual covers all of them in detail – here are the key focus areas RAX engineers emphasize for each product line.

High Speed Doors

Precision matters most here. Track alignment within 2 mm over the full height ensures smooth curtain travel at speeds up to 2.5 m/s. The servo parameter setup is guided step-by-step in the manual with factory-default values pre-loaded.

  • Track alignment and plumb verification (2 mm tolerance)
  • Tension spring calibration to curtain weight
  • Servo motor parameter setup (speed, acceleration, brake delay)
  • Safety photocell and bottom-edge sensor positioning

Sectional Doors

Torsion spring winding is the critical safety step – the manual specifies exact winding turns for the door weight and includes winding-bar technique with photos. Track radius sections must be joined flush to prevent panel binding.

  • Torsion spring winding (exact turns per door weight)
  • Track radius section joining and alignment
  • Panel joining with hinge and roller installation sequence
  • Operator chain/belt tension and limit setting

Roller Shutter Doors

Barrel mounting must be level within 1 mm across the full width to prevent curtain drift. Slat threading follows a specific interlock orientation shown in the manual. Limit switch setting is the final calibration step.

  • Barrel mounting and level verification (1 mm across width)
  • Slat threading with correct interlock orientation
  • Limit switch setting for open/close travel
  • Guide rail fixing and bottom rail seal engagement

Cold Storage Doors

Seal integrity is the priority – every gasket joint and insulation seam must be verified before commissioning. Heating wire connection prevents frame icing and is covered with a dedicated wiring sub-diagram in the documentation package.

  • Seal integrity check (gasket compression and continuity)
  • Heating wire connection for frame anti-icing
  • Insulation joint sealing at panel-to-frame interface
  • Pressure relief valve verification (for below -18°C rooms)

Common Questions

Installation Support FAQ

Answers to the questions buyers ask most before placing their first order. For more, visit our full FAQ page.

Does RAX provide on-site installation?
RAX is a manufacturer and does not provide on-site installation as a standard service. Every order ships with a complete installation documentation package – English manuals, wiring diagrams, FAI photos, bolt schedule and commissioning checklist – written for professional installation teams. Remote video-call guidance from RAX engineers is included with every order. For projects of 10+ doors, on-site engineering supervision is available at cost (travel, accommodation and daily rate quoted per project). See our Project Planning Guide for details.
What installation documentation is included with each order?
Six deliverables ship with every order, printed and digital: English installation manual with annotated photos, 2D/3D technical drawings, complete wiring diagrams, pre-assembly FAI photos, bolt schedule with hardware list, and a commissioning checklist. Hard copies travel in the crate; digital copies are emailed within 3 days of production completion. The documentation is written for professional installation and maintenance teams and covers mechanical assembly, torque specifications, electrical schematics and safety device mounting.
What technical support is available during installation?
Remote support is included with every order. The installation team can contact the RAX account manager via WhatsApp with photos or video at any stage. During business hours (Mon-Sat, 9:00-18:00 CST), an engineer responds within 2 hours. For issues requiring live interaction, a video call is arranged immediately. A free 30-minute video-call walkthrough is included for the first installation of any RAX door type – the engineer shares technical drawings on screen and guides the team through each step in real time.
