High Lift Sectional Door at a Glance

The High Lift Sectional Door provides extra vertical rise before the panels turn horizontal — ideal for buildings with high ceilings where a standard-lift track would leave too much of the opening obstructed. By extending the vertical track section, the door clears tall vehicle heights before running horizontally beneath the ceiling, maximizing usable opening height without requiring the full headroom of a vertical-lift system.

RAX manufactures high-lift sectional doors to any size (custom engineered to your specification) with 40–50 mm PU foam panels, galvanized steel skins (0.4–1.5 mm) and high-cycle torsion springs validated to 100,000 cycles. The extended track geometry uses formed steel channel (2.0 mm benchmark, CN-export ecer.com) with precision nylon PA66 rollers. High-lift configuration is common in logistics warehouses with mezzanine levels, 4S dealerships and distribution centers requiring maximum truck-clearance height.

How to Specify (Buyer Guide)

1. Headroom Calculation

Measure lintel-to-ceiling distance. High lift requires more headroom than standard lift but less than vertical lift. Provide your exact dimensions; we calculate the optimal vertical-rise extension and produce track drawings.

2. Clear Opening Height

Specify the minimum clear height needed (e.g. for truck clearance). We set the vertical-rise extension so the bottom panel clears your required height before turning horizontal.

3. Insulation & Finish

40–50 mm PU panels standard. Choose RAL color, surface profile and optional vision windows (clear PVC/polycarbonate) for natural light.

4. Operator Selection

Shaft-mounted or trolley operator depending on door weight and cycle frequency. High-cycle logistics use: specify servo drive with VFD for smooth acceleration and 100,000-cycle durability.

How does high lift differ from standard lift and vertical lift?

Standard lift turns horizontal immediately above the opening. High lift extends the vertical track section (typically 300–1500 mm extra rise) before turning horizontal — giving more clear height. Vertical lift has no horizontal run at all but requires headroom equal to the full door height.

How much extra headroom does high lift need?

More than standard lift (which needs approx. 300–600 mm) but less than vertical lift (full door height). The exact requirement depends on the vertical-rise extension you specify. Provide your lintel-to-ceiling measurement and we produce a track layout.

Can high lift doors be insulated?

Yes — the same 40–50 mm PU foam panels used in standard-lift doors apply. Thermal and acoustic performance is identical; only the track geometry differs.

What is the maximum size?

Custom to your opening (custom engineered to your specification). Industrial sectional doors commonly reach W8000 × H6000 mm+. Confirm with RAX engineers who produce technical drawings showing exact track geometry and headroom requirement.

Do you provide installation?

No — pure manufacturer. Ships with English manual, wiring diagrams. Operators pre-set before dispatch.

What is the lead time?
