Rust-Proof Sectional Door — RAX Door Technology
01 · Overview

Rust-Proof Sectional Door at a Glance

The Rust Proof Sectional Door is built for corrosive environments — coastal sites with salt-laden air, food-processing plants with frequent washdown cycles, chemical storage facilities and tropical climates with high humidity. RAX combats corrosion through material selection: stainless steel 304/316 panels and hardware, hot-dip galvanized steel components, aluminum alloy 6063-T5 profiles and PVDF-coated surfaces that resist salt spray and chemical attack.

Standard construction uses galvanized steel sheet (0.4–1.5 mm) with a zinc coating that provides sacrificial corrosion protection. For severe environments, RAX upgrades to stainless steel 304 (general corrosion resistance) or 316 (marine/chemical grade with molybdenum). All tracks, rollers, hinges and fixings are matched to the panel material to prevent galvanic corrosion. Doors are validated in RAX’s 100,000-cycle fatigue lab and backed by SGS material reports confirming substrate composition.

RAX-company facts on this page are from the approved brand brief. Industry benchmark values are attributed to their sources (Hörmann via renrendoc.com; CN-export listings via ecer.com; EN standard scopes via antpedia.com / baijiahao). RAX product-specific test data (U-value, wind class, fire rating) is confirmed per project.

How to Specify (Buyer Guide)

1. Define Corrosion Environment

Specify the exposure: coastal/marine (salt spray), food washdown (alkaline/acidic cleaning), chemical (specific agents), or tropical humidity. This determines whether galvanized, SS304 or SS316 is appropriate.

2. Material Selection

Galvanized steel (standard protection, economical), SS304 (general corrosion, food-grade), SS316 (marine/chemical, molybdenum-enhanced). Aluminum 6063-T5 for frames and trim. We advise on the optimal combination.

3. Surface Treatment

PVDF coating for color-fastness and UV resistance; anodizing for aluminum; passivation for stainless. All fasteners and hardware matched to panel material to avoid galvanic corrosion.

4. Sealing & Drainage

Specify enhanced perimeter sealing (silicone rubber) and bottom drainage to prevent water pooling. For washdown environments, specify washdown-rated operators (IP54+).

05 · Customization

OEM / ODM & Customization

RAX supports full private-label production of the Rust-Proof Sectional Door: custom RAL panel colors, operator matching, packaging printing and installation-manual translation (EN/ES/FR/AR/RU). Start with an OEM sample and scale to container-load branded production. Custom molds, Tooling records are archived for up to 5 years — no extra tooling fee on repeat orders, all under strict NDA.

06 · Compliance

Applicable Standards

EN 13241

CE marking basis. Includes water penetration resistance testing — relevant for corrosion-prone environments where seal integrity prevents internal moisture ingress.

EN 12604 / EN 12453

Mechanical and power-operated safety. Corrosion-resistant materials must maintain structural integrity and safety performance over the door’s service life.

What materials resist corrosion best for sectional doors?

Stainless steel 316 (marine/chemical grade with molybdenum) offers the highest corrosion resistance. SS304 suits food-processing and general corrosive environments. Hot-dip galvanized steel with PVDF coating is the economical choice for coastal humidity. RAX provides all three options with SGS material reports.

Is a galvanized steel door sufficient for coastal sites?

For mild coastal exposure (5+ km from shoreline), hot-dip galvanized steel with PVDF coating is typically adequate. For direct marine exposure (salt spray zone), we recommend SS304 or SS316 panels and hardware. RAX advises based on your specific site distance from coast and prevailing wind.

What about hardware and fasteners?

All hinges, rollers, brackets and fixings are matched to the panel material to prevent galvanic corrosion (dissimilar-metal contact). Nylon PA66 rollers are inherently corrosion-inert. Track channel is galvanized or stainless to match.

Can I get a rust-proof door with insulation?

Yes — the same 40–50 mm closed-cell PU foam core provides thermal insulation and is inherently moisture-resistant (closed-cell structure does not absorb water). Stainless or galvanized skins encapsulate the foam.

Do you provide installation?

No — pure manufacturer. Ships with English manual, wiring diagrams. Remote support available.

What is the warranty for corrosive environments?

Door body 2-year warranty (standard). For severe environments, we advise on maintenance intervals. SGS material reports confirm substrate grade. RAX maintains a 27-year zero-leak record across 5,000+ overseas projects.
