Overlapping flexible PVC strips that seal a busy opening while traffic passes straight through — holding temperature, and keeping out dust, insects, noise and draught. Standard, cold-room and anti-static grades, cut to your opening, from prototype to full production runs.
One idea: seal an opening that people and vehicles pass through constantly — without a door that has to be opened and closed. The strips part, traffic passes, and the curtain closes itself behind every time.
Some openings cannot have a door: the traffic is too frequent, the flow too continuous, or the budget too tight for an automated closure. A PVC strip curtain is the economical answer. Rows of overlapping flexible strips hang across the opening; a person, trolley or forklift pushes through and the strips fall back into place immediately, so the opening is effectively closed almost all the time — limiting cold loss, draught, dust, insects and noise while never slowing the flow.
RAX supplies strip curtains cut to your opening in standard, cold-room, anti-static and welding grades, with the strip width, thickness and overlap matched to the traffic and the temperature differential. Hardware is stainless or galvanized for washdown and cold environments, and every order ships with technical drawings and an English manual for quick local fitting.
Strip thickness, width and overlap shown are industry-typical values for PVC strip curtains and are matched to your opening and duty on the technical layout. Temperature grades are industry-typical; PVC coated fabric is within the RAX material range (0.9–1.2 mm).
Every curtain is cut to your opening. The values below are the validated baseline; final figures are confirmed on your specification. Each row states whether the value is RAX-measured, an industry-typical range, or per project.
| Parameter | Specification | Basis |
|---|---|---|
| Product Type | PVC strip curtain / strip door (fixed or sliding rail) | Product definition |
| Strip Material | Flexible PVC; grades for standard, cold-room, anti-static and welding screening. | RAX build |

| Strip Width & Overlap | Industry-typical widths 200 / 300 / 400 mm with 50–100 mm overlap, matched to the opening. | Industry-typical |
| Temperature Grades | Standard grade roughly −15 to +50 °C; cold-room grades down to about −40 °C — confirmed per project. | Industry-typical |
| Hardware | Stainless steel 304 / 316 or galvanized mounting rails, hooks and fixings. | RAX build |
| Mounting | Fixed hook rail or sliding track for easy strip replacement and full-clearance access. | RAX build |
| Vision | Clear strips standard; tinted, opaque or ribbed (anti-scratch) options. | RAX options |
| Operating Range | RAX products tested from −30 °C cold storage to +50 °C desert conditions. | RAX-tested |
| Max Opening | Custom to your opening — confirm layout on technical drawing. | Per project |
Not sure which grade, thickness or overlap fits your opening? Send the opening size, the traffic and the temperature differential and our engineers specify the curtain on the technical layout.
Validated substrates and hardware, processed in-house on a CNC punching / bending centre. No outsourcing of the structural parts.
Openings that need a seal but cannot afford to slow the traffic through them.
Your installers get the full document set before the curtain ships — the same package our EPC and distributor clients rely on.
Certificates we hold today, and the project-specific test data we arrange against the matching standard. We state held versus per-project so you can tender honestly.
Validated materials, SGS verification and precision manufacturing — performed in-house, with the PVC grade matched per project to your temperature and traffic duty.
From a single unit — full order flexibility. Start with one sample and scale to container-load branded production.
Every strip curtain is cut to your opening and your duty. Send the clear opening size, the traffic type and the temperature differential (or site photos) and our engineers return a proposal, layout confirmation and lead time.
From custom engineering to container-load delivery — the document set your local installers need.
Warranty: door body 2 years · operator/motor 3 years · servo motor 5 years. Free spare parts within warranty (DHL/FedEx 5–7 days). Lead time: sample 7–15 days · standard container 12–20 days · custom first order 20–35 days.
It depends on temperature and traffic. Standard clear PVC suits general internal doorways roughly −15 to +50 °C. Cold-room grades stay flexible down to about −40 °C for chillers and freezers. Anti-static grades suit electronics and dust-sensitive areas, and tinted welding grades screen arc glare. Send your temperature differential and traffic and our engineers specify the right grade.
Thicker, wider strips with more overlap seal better and stand up to heavier traffic and wind, but need a little more force to push through. Thinner strips with less overlap are easier for light pedestrian traffic. Industry-typical thicknesses are 2, 3 and 4 mm with widths of 200, 300 and 400 mm; we match thickness, width and overlap to your opening height and traffic on the technical layout.
A strip curtain significantly reduces cold loss and air transfer at a frequently used opening because the strips close immediately after each pass, so the opening is effectively sealed almost all the time. It is not a substitute for a closed insulated door where a tight, long-term seal is required, but for high-traffic cold-room doorways it is a very effective, low-cost way to cut energy loss and frost build-up.
Yes. Every curtain is cut and laid out to your clear opening width and height, or from site photos. Every order is custom-manufactured, so you can buy a single curtain built to a non-standard size. Our engineers confirm the strip layout and produce a technical proposal for approval before production.
RAX holds ISO 9001:2015, CE marking against EN 13241 (industrial door product standard) and EN 12453 (operator safety), plus SGS material reports and Product Liability Insurance. Cold-room and anti-static grades and AS/NZS 4505 / UL counterpart test data are confirmed per project, not held as standing certificates.
Sample orders run 7–15 days, a standard container 12–20 days, and a custom first order 20–35 days (repeat custom orders 15–20 days). FOB ports are Tianjin and Qingdao; FCL and LCL are both supported.
Every order includes wiring diagrams, an English installation manual, FAI first-article confirmation and pre-assembly photos, a factory inspection report (speed, noise, insulation resistance, visual), the 100,000-cycle fatigue test video/report, and the CE Declaration of Conformity with the EN 13241 test report.
Send your opening size (W × H), the traffic type and the temperature differential. Our engineers reply with a proposal, layout confirmation and lead time — no obligation.
