A standard sliding door leaves a gap. A hermetic sliding door closes that gap: the leaf translates inward on a cam or eccentric track at the end of travel, compressing a perimeter gasket against the frame to form an air-tight seal.
The RAX Hermetic Sliding Door combines a servo-driven automatic operator with a compression-seal mechanism. As the leaf reaches the closed position, the track geometry pulls it 8–12 mm into the frame, compressing a continuous silicone gasket on all four sides. The result is a measurable air-leakage rate low enough to hold positive or negative room pressure in operating theatres, isolation rooms and ISO Class 5–7 cleanrooms.
Activation is hands-free: radar, push-button, access control or BMS signal. Safety is ensured by light curtains and anti-pinch edges. The flush, ledge-free leaf face supports rapid decontamination between cases.
