Explosion-Proof Industrial Door

Industrial doors with explosion-proof drive and control components for hazardous areas — oil & gas, chemical, pharma and dust-atmosphere facilities.

A door engineered for hazardous zones, fitted with explosion-proof motors (Ex d IIB T4) and compatible control gear so the drive system cannot ignite a flammable atmosphere. Custom built from prototype to container-load, full order flexibility, with full technical and CE documentation.

01 · Overview

Why Buyers Specify This Door

In a flammable gas or dust atmosphere, the door’s motor and controls are an ignition source unless they are built and certified not to be.

The explosion-proof door pairs a robust industrial door body with drive and control components rated for hazardous areas. Explosion-proof motors to Ex d IIB T4 — flameproof enclosures that contain any internal spark — remove the ignition risk from the drive train, and compatible control and sensing devices complete the protected system.

Door configuration follows the opening: sectional, roller or sliding bodies can be specified, with the hazardous-area classification, gas group and temperature class confirmed against your zone study. As a full-category manufacturer, RAX produces the door, operator and parts in one factory and validates every assembly through a 100,000-cycle fatigue protocol before shipping.

RAX company facts are from the approved brand brief. Hazardous-area classification and any blast resistance are confirmed per project against your zone study and applicable standard.

What makes the door explosion-proof?

The drive and control system is the part that could ignite a flammable atmosphere, so that is what we protect. Explosion-proof motors to Ex d IIB T4 use a flameproof enclosure that contains any internal spark, and the control and sensing devices are matched to the same hazardous-area requirement.

How do I know which zone rating I need?

The zone classification, gas group and temperature class come from your site’s hazardous-area study. Share that documentation and we confirm the protection concept and component selection on the technical layout, so the door matches your classified zone rather than a generic assumption.

Which door types can be supplied explosion-proof?

Sectional, roller and sliding door bodies can all be fitted with explosion-proof drive and control systems. We recommend the configuration to suit your opening size, duty cycle and zone requirement.

Can the door also be blast resistant?

Where a project requires it, blast resistance is engineered and tested to the specified standard on a per-project basis. Tell us the requirement and we scope the structural design and test data accordingly.

Is the door CE certified?

Yes. We hold CE to EN 13241 and EN 12453 for operator safety, backed by ISO 9001:2015 and SGS material reports. Hazardous-area component documentation is provided per project. A Declaration of Conformity and test report ship with every order.

What are the lead time and warranty?

Every door is custom-engineered to your specification. Samples run 7–15 days, a standard container 12–20 days, and a first custom order 20–35 days (repeat orders 15–20 days). FOB ports are Tianjin and Qingdao, FCL and LCL.

What warranty and spare parts support do you offer?

Door body is covered for 2 years and the operator / motor for 3 years (servo motor 5 years). Free spare parts within warranty ship by DHL/FedEx in 5–7 days, and OEM projects are protected under NDA.
