Also specified as: Soundproof Industrial Door — sound-reducing doors that close noisy plant behind a rated acoustic barrier.
An acoustic door engineered to a defined sound reduction index, keeping generators, test rigs and noisy process plant contained. Custom built from prototype to container-load, full order flexibility, with full technical and CE documentation.
An acoustic enclosure is only as quiet as its weakest point — and that is usually the door. This range makes the door match the wall.
Acoustic doors combine a heavy, dense leaf with a sound-absorbing core and — critically — full-perimeter acoustic seals and threshold detail, because sound leaks through gaps far more than through panels. The result is a closure rated to a defined sound reduction index (Rw) that keeps generators, compressors, test benches and process plant from breaking noise limits at the boundary.
The target Rw is set by your noise study, and the door is engineered and tested to the matching acoustic standard. Configuration can be swing or sliding, selected to the opening and the required performance. As a full-category manufacturer, RAX validates every door through a 100,000-cycle fatigue protocol before shipping.
RAX company facts are from the approved brand brief. Acoustic performance (Rw) is rated per project against the matching standard; industry-typical values are labeled in the Basis column.
Every door is engineered to your opening. The values below are the validated baseline; final figures are confirmed on your specification.
| Parameter | Specification | Basis |
|---|---|---|
| Door Type | Acoustic swing or sliding door, selected to opening and required performance. | Per project |
| Sound Reduction | Rated Rw; industry-typical range ≈ 30–45 dB, engineered to your noise study. | Industry-typical (EN ISO 717-1) |
| Test Standard | Sound reduction rated per EN ISO 717-1 against the project requirement. | Per project |
| Leaf | Dense galvanized steel skins (0.4–1.5 mm) over a sound-absorbing mineral core. | RAX-measured |
| Sealing | Full-perimeter acoustic seals with compression threshold and drop seals. | RAX |
| Opening Size | Made to order; large acoustic openings engineered to the rating. | Per project |
| Cycle Life | 100,000 cycles validated in the RAX fatigue test lab. | RAX-measured |
| Operation | Manual or electric operator with servo / VFD drive; sensing options. | RAX |
| Options | Acoustic vision windows and combined fire / acoustic builds on request. | RAX |
| Finish | Full RAL custom powder coating; stainless skins for corrosive environments. | RAX |

Door body 2 years · operator / motor 3 years (servo motor 5 years) · free spare parts within warranty, DHL/FedEx 5–7 days · tooling & technical drawings archived up to 5 years.
The target sound reduction index (Rw) is set by your noise study; industry-typical acoustic doors run roughly 30–45 dB. We engineer the leaf mass, core and sealing to your required Rw and rate it per EN ISO 717-1, so the door matches the enclosure wall rather than becoming its weak point.
Sound leaks through gaps far more readily than through a dense panel, so a heavy leaf alone is not enough. Full-perimeter compression seals plus a drop or threshold seal close every flanking path — that detailing is what lets the door reach its rated Rw in practice.
Yes. Combined fire and acoustic builds are available, with the fire class (such as EI60 / EI120) handled as a per-project capability tested to the matching standard. Tell us both requirements and we scope a single door that satisfies them.
Acoustic doors can be built as swing or sliding configurations. We recommend the type to suit the opening size, the required rating and how often the door operates, and can add acoustic vision windows matched to the door rating.
Yes. We hold CE to EN 13241 and EN 12453 for operator safety, backed by ISO 9001:2015 and SGS material reports. Acoustic test data is arranged per project. A Declaration of Conformity and test report ship with every order.
Every door is custom-engineered to your specification. Samples run 7–15 days, a standard container 12–20 days, and a first custom order 20–35 days (repeat orders 15–20 days). FOB ports are Tianjin and Qingdao, FCL and LCL.
Door body is covered for 2 years and the operator / motor for 3 years (servo motor 5 years). Free spare parts within warranty ship by DHL/FedEx in 5–7 days, and OEM projects are protected under NDA.
Send your required Rw and opening size — we return a technical layout, specification and container-ready quotation.
