Why Buyers Specify This Gate

One idea: control a wide perimeter entrance reliably, with a gate that opens and closes at the touch of a button or a card reader — and needs almost no ground maintenance. The telescopic leaf stacks compactly to one side, leaving the full carriageway clear.

Wide site entrances — factory gates, school driveways, logistics-park entries — need a barrier that is robust, automated and low-maintenance. A swing gate needs clearance to arc open; a conventional sliding gate needs a long run-back and a ground track that collects debris and needs regular cleaning. A telescopic (retractable) gate solves both: interlocking sections slide and fold onto themselves, so the gate retracts into a compact stack beside the opening, clearing the full carriageway with no track across the road and a much shorter run-back than a single-leaf slider.

How does a telescopic gate differ from a normal sliding gate?

A conventional single-leaf sliding gate needs a run-back roughly as long as the opening plus a ground track across the road that collects debris and needs regular cleaning. A telescopic (retractable) gate uses interlocking sections that slide and fold onto themselves, so it retracts into a compact stack beside the opening. That clears the full carriageway, removes the road-crossing track, and needs a much shorter run-back — which is why it suits wide entrances where space behind the gate is limited.

Stainless 304 or aluminum — which frame should I choose?

Stainless 304 is the robust choice for high-security sites, coastal or corrosive environments, and heavy daily traffic — it is strong and highly corrosion resistant. Aluminum is lighter, which reduces drive load and suits large gates or sites where weight and cost matter, while still offering good corrosion resistance. Send your site environment and opening width and our engineers recommend the right frame on the technical layout.

What safety features stop the gate hitting a vehicle or person?

The gate uses infrared obstacle sensing across the closing path plus an anti-crush safety edge on the closing stile. When either detects an obstruction, the RAX servo VFD drive stops and reverses the gate. The soft start and soft stop of the VFD drive also keeps travel smooth and predictable. Safety forces are confirmed against EN 12453 per project to your gate weight and speed.

Can it integrate with our access-control system?

Yes. The controller provides interfaces for remote handsets, card readers, keypads, loop detectors and site access-control systems, so the gate can open on a valid credential and detect vehicles automatically. Tell us which access system you use and we confirm the integration on the wiring diagrams before production.

Which certifications do you hold for this product?
